City of Kingston

•DWI: Laura B. Piccirello, 36, of Saugerties, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 11:57 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, on North Front Street and was charged with drunken driving and driving with blood alcohol level at or exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeano­rs, and two traffic infraction­s. She was released with tickets to appear in Kingston City Court.

Athens

•DWI: Joseph Apuzzi, 27, of Catskill, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 11:18 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, on Willow Brook Farm Road and was charged with drunken driving and obstructio­n of government­al administra­tion, both misdemeano­rs. Further informatio­n was unavailabl­e.

Cairo

• Unauthoriz­ed use: Joseph L. Wenk, 39, of Purling, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 6:01 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, on Mountain Avenue and was charged with unauthoriz­ed use of a vehicle, a misdemeano­r. He was released with a ticket to appear in Cairo Town Court.

Catskill

• Drugs: Theresa A. Handelman, 54, of Albany, and Mark A. Braemer, 54, of Woodstock, were arrested by state police at Catskill at 10:41 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, at county Route 23B and Five Mile Woods Boulevard. Handelman was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, both felonies, one misdemeano­r count of criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of drug parapherna­lia and criminal possession of marijuana, both misdemeano­rs. Braemer was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of criminal possession of marijuana, all misdemeano­rs, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. No further informatio­n was available.

Coxsackie

•DWI: Jeffrey Blance, 41, of Albany, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 7:17 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, on state Route 385 and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood alcohol level at or exceeding 0.08 percent. He was released with tickets to appear in Coxsackie Town Court.

Ellenville

• Contraband: Kemar Lamont, 19, of Napanoch, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, on Berme Road and was charged with possession of dangerous contraband in prison, a felony. Further informatio­n was unavailabl­e.

Hyde Park

• Drugs: Leilani A. Chambers, 38, of Poughkeeps­ie, was arrested by state police at Rhinebeck at 1:48 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, on U.S. Route 9 and was charged with one felony count and one misdemeano­r count each of criminal possession of a controlled substance, and with having a controlled substance in a nonorigina­l container, a violation. She was arraigned in Hyde Park Town Court sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $300 cash bail pending a court appearance.

Livingston

• Contempt: Umut Tanrikulu, 30, of Castletown, was arrested by state police at Claverack at 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, on U.S. Route 9 and was charged with criminal contempt for disobeying a court order. Further informatio­n was unavailabl­e.

Napanoch

• Criminal sex act: An 18-year-old male who was not identified by authoritie­s was arrested at 1:32 a.m. Thursday, July 18, in Napanoch, and was charged with a criminal sex act with a victim under the age of 15, a felony, and acting in a manner injurious to a child under the age of 17, a misdemeano­r. No further informatio­n was available.

Plattekill

•DWI: Chad M. Kania, 45, of Freehold, N.J., was arrested by state police at Highland at 10:40 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, at state Route 32 and Orchard Drive and was charged with felony drunken driving; aggravated drunken driving, a misdemeano­r; and two traffic infraction­s. He was released pending an appearance in Plattekill Town Court.

Red Hook

• Drugs: Diego E. Olavarria, 32, of LaGrange, was arrested by Red Hook Police at 9:37 a.m. Monday, July 15, on state Route 9G and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was released with a ticket to appear in Red Hook Town Court.

•DWI: James L. Taylor, 66, of Tivoli, was arrested by Red Hook Police at 4:33 p.m. Monday, July 15, on county Route 78 following a 911 complaint of an erratic vehicle. Taylor was charged with aggravated drunk driving, a misdemeano­r, and with several traffic infraction­s. He was released with tickets for Red Hook Town Court.

Saugerties

• Burglary: Kevin J. Lyons, 38, of Greenwood Lake, was arrested by Saugerties Police early Tuesday morning, July 16, and was charged with burglary, a felony, and petit larceny, a misdemeano­r. Police responded to a 6:16 a.m. call from a homeowner on Manor Road who reported a man stealing tools from a shed. Lyons was arraigned and sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail, pending a further court appearance.

• Grand larceny: Miquel A. Rodriquez, 45, of Tonawanda, was arrested by Saugerties Police on Tuesday, July 16, and was charged with grand larceny, a felony. Rodriquez is accused of stealing $4,000 in cash from a village resident on March 12, 2018. After an investigat­ion into the theft, the court issued an arrest warrant Rodriquez, who was picked up Tuesday by the Tonawanda Police Department on an unrelated charge and taken into custody by Saugerties Police. He was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail pending a court appearance.
