The following items are based on information provided by officials in law enforcement and the criminal justice system:
Catskill
• Drugs: Joseph M. Farley, 37, of Tannersville, was arrested by Catskill police at 9:18 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, and was charged with possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Farley was released with an appearance ticket for Catskill Town Court.
• Assault: James Hartley Jr., 36, of Ashland, was arrested by Catskill police at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, and was charged with assault, a misdemeanor. He was sent to the Albany County Jail and was later released on $250 bail.
Coxsackie
• Resisting arrest: Jerel M. Scott, 26, of Albany, was arrested by Thruway state police at 2:01 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, on the New York State Thruway at milepost 123.1 and was charged with obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors. Scott was released with an appearance ticket for Coxsackie Town Court.
Saugerties
• DWAI: Justin P. Tierney, 19, of Spaulding Lane, Saugerties, was arrested by Saugerties police at 6:03 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, and was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor, after police said they found him unconscious behind the wheel of a running vehicle on Red Maple Road. Police said they woke Tierney, who said he must have fallen asleep after smoking marijuana. Authorities said Tierney was found with a quantity of marijuana; he was taken into custody and was later released to a third party with a ticket to appear in Saugerties town Court.
