Two teams advance to SAA championships

SeamonWilsey Funeral Home/Exchange and P&B Excavating both advanced to the championship round in A and C Division, respectively, in Saugerties Athletic Association men’s softball playoffs.

Seamon-Wilsey swept Justin’s Barber Shop in the A Division, winning 13-2 and 6-5. Jason Brink pitched a four-hitter in the first game. Dan Koegel and Jed Sagazie drove in three runs apiece in game one and Zach Hoffstatter knocked in three in the second game.

Seamon-Wilsey will play either Augustine Nursery or Clapper Engineering in the finals. That semifinal series is tied at 1-1.

P&B swept Torok Excavating in the C Division semis, winning 12-6 and 13-7. Darren Lareau hit for the cycle and drove in five runs and Aaron Caskey homered twice in the first game. Chris Schnell and Matt Donnelly homered and three runs each in the game two.

Kindred Spirits and Sue’s Restaurant/Rip’s Auto Parts is tied 1-1 in the other C series.
