Lady Legends top Sawyer Motors to claim Upper B Division crown
KINGSTON, N.Y. » Competing in a best-of-three series, Lady Legends defeated Sawyer Motors to capture the Upper B Division crown in the Kingston City women’s softball league.
After splitting the first two games, Lady Legends won a closely-fought third game by the score of 21-20.
Fallon Spriggs led the way with a home run and four RBIs, while Jen Esposito had a triple and three RBIs and Stacey Franklin notched a double and an RBI.
Karen Fellows paced Sawyer Motors with a triple and two runs driven in.
In the A Division semifinals, Fromson Injury Law pounded Hickory BBQ 24-4.
Kristina Benjamin finished with a homer and four RBIs, while Diana Decker notched two doubles and drove in three runs.
Dana’s Diamonds defeated DYS Sports Performance 13-7 in the other semifinal best-of-three matchup.
Katlyn Schrowang laced a triple and drove in five runs in the victory.
Michelle Lemanya paced Kingswood Business Park to a 9-2 victory over Gawd Squad in Lower B Division play, notching a home run and four RBIs.
