Kingston wins second meet in row

Kingston High’s boys swim team won its second meet in 24 hours Thursday, defeating Rhinebeck 112-56.

Mason Delisio led the Tigers win wins in the 100yard freestyle (51.82) and breaststro­ke (1:12.02). Alberto Meli (200 free) and Andrew Sammons (500 free) also won. Christophe­r Lekaj and Cameron Fairley placed first and second. Lekaj won the 50 free and was second in the 100. Fairley won the butterfly and was second in the backstroke.

Tyson and Mason Delisio teamed with Sammons and Fairley to take the 200 medley relay and with Fairley and Meli on the victorious 400 free relay.

Kingston, which snapped a four-meet losing streak with a win over Middletown Wednesday, enters the winter break with a 2-4 record. The Tigers resume their season Thursday, Jan. 9, with a home meet against Washington­ville.
