Kingston Council #275 Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship: 4 p.m. Jan. 11 at the Catholic Charities CYO Gym, 6 Adams Street, in Kingston. Open to boys and girls ages 9-14. Youth Leagues Kingston Recreation 1418 Youth Program: Registration has now begun. League play starts in midJanuary and plays Sunday afternoons at the Andy Murphy Neighborhood Center. Players must be at least 14 and no older than 18 as of Jan. 1, 2020 to be eligible. It is open to enrolled students who do not participate on a high school freshman, junior varsity or varsity teams. Fee is $45 for Kingston City residents and $65 for non-residents, required at time of registration via credit card, cash, check or
Friday Night Bowlers Club: Short-season 4-person mixed league being formed at the Bowlers Club in Saugerties. 15-week season 7 p.m. Fridays Jan. 3-April 10. Teams will consist of any combination of men and women. Handicap will be 90 percent of the difference between a team’s average and 800. Fee is $14 per night. Saugerties Bowlers Tournament Club: The third tournament club event of the season will be held Sunday, Dec. 29 at 1 p.m. Please arrive by 12:30 p.m. for check in. All bowlers will use last year’s average. Regular tournaments will be bowled the last Sunday of each month thru March with April being the championship final. All bowlers will receive points for each tournament they participate in toward the final in April. This is a handicap tournament. Dates are subject to change based on lane availability. CYCLING
YMCA Midtown Mechanics 2020: A bike repair class offered by the YMCA of Kingston and Ulster County for ages 1424. Program runs on eight Mondays, 6-9 p.m., from
Feb. 14-April 13. Learn bike mechanics and earn your own bicycle. Each session focuses on a differerent bike component so that, by the end of the course, the bike will be completely rebuilt and ready to ride. Cost is $20. Students must commit to attend all sessions. Maximum is 10 students. There will be a pizza dinner at each class. Students receive a bike helmet, lights and lock on completion of course.
