• Attempted sexual abuse: Joshua Bronson, age not provided, of Durham, was convicted on Friday, Dec. 13, of sexual abuse, a felony, and sentenced to six months in jail and 10 years of post-release supervisio­n. Bronson was arrested by Greene County sheriff’s deputies on Tuesday, Sept. 17, following an investigat­ion into alleged child abuse.

• Grand larceny: William Risch, age not provided, of Catskill, was convicted on Monday, Dec. 23, of grand larceny, a felony. Risch was arrested by Catskill police on Monday, Dec. 9, at the Catskill Inn. He will be sentenced at a later date.

• Attempting to promote prison contraband: Hassan Ward, age not provided, of Coxsackie, was sentenced on Friday, Dec. 13, to one to three years in state prison for the felony of attempted promotion of prison contraband for possessing a weapon while serving prison time at the Greene Correction­al Facility for another felony. Ward was indicted by a Greene County grand jury on Tuesday, Aug. 20. He was arrested by state police at Coxsackie on Tuesday, Aug. 20, on a sealed indictment charging him with possession of dangerous contraband in prison, a felony.

• Attempting to promote prison contraband: Asa Bordies, age not provided, of Coxsackie, was convicted on Tuesday, Dec. 10, of the felony of attempted promotion of prison contraband. Bordies was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at on Tuesday, Dec. 10, and was charged with two counts of contraband in prison and one count of possession of a weapon, all felonies. He will be sentenced at a later date.

• Attempting to promote prison contraband: Malcolm Stokes, age not provided, of Coxsackie, was convicted on Tuesday, Dec. 10, of the felony of attempted promotion of prison contraband for possessing the controlled substance Buprenorph­ine, known as suboxone, while serving time at the Greene Correction­al Facility. He was arrested by state police at Catskill on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at the prison and was charged with two felony counts of possession of dangerous contraband in prison and two misdemeano­r counts of possession of a controlled substance. He will be sentenced at a later date.

• Possession of a forged instrument: Tziah Townsend, age not provided, of Brooklyn, was convicted on Tuesday, Dec. 10, of the felony of possession of a forged instrument. Townsend was arrested by Catskill police on Tuesday, Nov. 12, and charged with felony possession of a forged instrument. On Saturday, Nov. 9, Townsend was one of three defendants arrested in Greenport, Columbia County, for allegedly possessing and using counterfei­t money in Greenport, as well as in the Ulster County town of Ulster and in Catskill. He will be sentenced at a later date.
