Kingston wins 12 medals at meet

NEW YORK, N.Y. >> Kingston High’s indoor track and field team earned a dozen medals at Friday’s 20th annual Marine Corps Holiday Classic meet at the New Balance Center.

The top eight in each event medaled.

Ethan Nigro and Adrienne Crawford led the Tigers with two medals each. Nigro was fourth in the Novice 55-meter hurdles with a 9.25 time and was fifth in the Varsity long jump with a leap of 18-feet, 3-inches. Crawford was fifth in the weight throw (386.75) and eighth in the shot put (31-11.75).

Morgan Juric placed third in the Novice 1000 with a 3:34.93, while Elizabeth Ingellis (13:22.44) and Kailyn Oreglio (13:24.82) were third and fifth, respectively, in the Novice 2-mile run.

Also finishing fifth were Luca Maneri (10:55.31) in the Sophomore 2-mile and Carla Bautista (3:21.28) in the Freshman 1000.

Other medalists for Kingston were Lauren Townsend (38-6.75) in the weight throw, Bridgie Loughlin (1:57.69) in the Novice 600, and Justin Longo (7.10) in the Novice 55.
