Athens
• DWI: Stephanie J. Fisher, 58, of Cairo, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 9:51 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, on Schoharie Turnpike and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeanors. She was released with a court appearance ticket.
Catskill
• DWI: Sandeep Sapkota, 29, of Jersey City, N.J., was arrested by state police at Catskill at 2:15 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, on state Route 32 and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood alcohol level at or exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeanors. He was released with tickets for Catskill Town Court.
• DWI: Scott A. Scrodin, 23, of Germantown, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 4:39 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, on state Route 23 in the village of Catskill and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood alcohol level at or exceeding 0.08 percent. He was released with tickets for Catskill Village Court.
Coxsackie
• Drugs: Mark J. Deso, 27, of Coxsackie, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 12:40 a.m.Saturday, Dec. 28, on U.S. Route 9W and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Further information was unavailable.
• DWI: Jason T. Pallay, 34, of Matamoras, Pa., was arrested by state police at Albany at 3:55 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, on the New York State Thruway and was charged with driving with a blood alcohol level at or exceeding 0.08 percent, a felony; drunken driving, a misdemeanor; and six traffic infractions. He was released with tickets for Coxsackie Town Court.
Rhinebeck
• Weapon: Patrick T. McGowan, 27, of Red Hook, was arrested by state police at Rhinebeck at 8:15 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, on U.S. Route 9 - Fox Hollow Road and was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. He was released with tickets for Rhinebeck Town Court.
• DWI: Barry J. Paradies, 27, of Rhinebeck, was arrested by state police at Rhinebeck at 10:20 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, on state Route 308 and was charged with drunken driving and aggravated drunken driving, both misdemeanors, and two traffic infractions: driving left of pavement markings and driving an unregistered vehicle. He was released with tickets for Rhinebeck Town Court.
Town of Ulster
• Resisting arrest: An unidentified 17-year-old boy from Kingston was arrested by state police at Ulster at 11:45 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, on state Route 28 and was charged with resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration, both misdemeanors, along with disorderly conduct (obstructing traffic), a violation, and the infractions of failing to walk facing traffic and failure to yield as a pedestrian. He was released with tickets for Ulster Town Court.
• Contempt: Jose R. Almonte, 30, of Woodstock, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 2:18 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, at Forest Hill Drive and City View Terrace and was charged with criminal contempt, a felony, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. He was held without bail at the Ulster County Jail pending an appearance in Ulster Town Court.
