Epps scores 38 points, but Johnson & Johnson bows to Knicks

Ronnell Epps put up 38 points, draining five 3-pointers, but Johnson & Johnson fell to the Knicks 74-70 in a Kingston Recreation League Over 30 men’s basketball A division game.

Johnson & Johnson edged out the Knicks 3433 in the first half, but the Knicks held a 41-36 edge in the second half for the victory.

Homer Almonte led the way for the Knicks scoring 24 points, while Matt Stote tossed in 17, Alex Meyer pitched in 16 and Jeff Schaller added 13.

Khalid Alexander contributed 10 points to lead Johnson & Johnson.

The Knicks did pull off a 61-59 win over Clegg’s, surviving a second-half rally.

Matt Stote scored 24 points and Jeff Schaller and Homer Almonte each pitched in 10 to guide the Knicks.

Davonne Dunlap scored 26 points and Rob Shaw had 14 to carry Clegg’s.

Kevin Pegram scored 30 points, but the Panthers still fell to the Knicks 61-55.
