Kingston performs well at Last Chance meet

In its final meet before the postseason, Kingston registered 17performances that were either seasonbest or personal-best.

Kingston High certainly made the most of the Last Chance indoor track and field meet.

In the final meet before the postseason, the Tigers registered 17 performances that were either season-best or personal-best.

Anthony Henn, Connor Hayner and Alcides Rojas led the way. Henn and Hayner each had personal records in the 55-meter dash and 300 run. Rojas had PRs in both the shot put and weight throw.

Lauren Townsend won the weight throw with a season-best toss of 40-feet, 1-inch. The girls 1600 relay team of Jaelyn Derisse, Carla Bautista, Kaliyah Lindsay, and Savannah Nimblette ran a season-best 4:31.56 for third place.

Bautista and Lindsay finished second in the 1000 and 300, respectively.

Also notching personal bests were Isaiah Cannady, Derisse and Kaliya Hough in the 55, Sara Klementis in the 300, Luca Maneri and Andrew Hill in the 1600,

Ethan Nigro in the shot put, plus Nicarla Richards in the weight throw.

Hailie TerBush posted a season best in her 1500 run.

Kingston competes in the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association Division 1 championships at West Point on Saturday, Feb. 1.
