Onteora, Highland split doubledual meet

Highland and Onteora split a Section 9 double-dual wrestling meet Tuesday night.

The host Eagles defeated Roosevelt 48-18, but were edged out by Highland 33-27.

Sean Hernandez (120 pounds), Chris Gatto (126), Nickola Violaris (138), Logan Zehr (145) and Logan Smith (152) all won by fall to lead Highland.

Onteora was guided by Nathan Ross, who registered a pin at 170 in the Roosevelt match and another one at 182 against Highland.

Jack Nesbitt had a pin at 138 for the Presidents.
