Kingston wins 2 titles at divisional championships

WEST POINT, N.Y. >> Kingston High’s track and field team followed up last week’s record pace with two championships and 21 personal records at Saturday’s divisional championships.

Adrienne Crawford and Lauren Townsend led the Tigers by each capturing a title. Crawford threw a personal-best 33-9.50 to win the shot put. Townsend won the weight throw with a 39-9.25 toss with Crawford (37-5.25) placing second.

Six Tigers had PRs in two events. Kaliyah Lindsay had her best times in the 300- and 600-meter runs, while Bridgie Loughlin did the same in the 600 run plus the 3200 relay.

Justin Longo and Anthony Henn both had best times in the 55 and 300. Luca Maneri had his best times in the 1600 run and the 1600 relay, while Matthew Wilder’s PRs were in the 1000 and the 3200 relay.

Also notching PRs were Quamell Alexander (600), Jon Bloom (3200), Alcides Rojas (shot put), Tyler Longo (1600 relay), Carla Bautista (3200 relay), Savannah Nimblette (1600 relay), Sarah Klementis (800 relay) and Kaliya Hough (800 relay).

Kingston heads back to West Point on Saturday, Feb. 8, for the

Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association championship meet.
