GLASCO- Joseph M. “Butch” Marino, 74, of Saugerties died Monday, Feb. 24, 2020, at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, N.Y. Surviving is his wife, Kathleen Marino; his daughter, Kimberly Petramale and her husband Louis; his grandchild­ren, Morgan Every, Brian Every, and Jason Every. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Jean Marino. Many nieces and nephews also survive. He was the son of the late Viola Marino. His brother John Marino also predecease­d him. After graduating from Siena College, he entered the U.S. Army through the ROTC program. He served in the Vietnam War where he attained the rank of Captain, earning two Bronze Stars and the Army Commendati­on Medal. He was a nancial analyst at IBM for 14 years. After retirement, Joe and his brother John owned and operated JM Stables, a thoroughbr­ed breeding farm in Saugerties, N.Y. He was also a member of the New York State Breeder’s Associatio­n. He served on the board of directors for the Mid Hudson Federal Credit Union, also serving as Vice Chairman for several years. His love for horse racing was second only to his love for his family., Funeral arrangemen­ts are under the guidance of the Joseph V. A 10:30 Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Joseph’s Church, Glasco. Entombment with military honors in the Wiltwyck Community Mausoleum.
