City of Kingston

• Criminal contempt: Antoine D. Lacey, 25, of Kingston, was arrested at 2:26 p.m. on Friday, March 27, by state police at Ulster and was charged with misdemeano­r criminal contempt. He was released with a ticket to appear in Kingston City Court. Lacy had been arrested on the same charge in the town of Ulster on Thursday, March 26, according to state police.

Cairo

• DWAI: Shontasia M. Branch, 26, of Hudson, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 9:20 p.m. Friday, March 27, on state Route 23 and was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeano­r. She was released with a ticket to appear in Cairo Town Court.

Catskill

• Criminal mischief:

Denise J. Schaefer, 29, of Palenville, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 5:05 a.m. Saturday, March 28, and was charged with criminal mischief, a felony. Further informatio­n was unavailabl­e.

Clermont • Obstructio­n of breathing: Alfredo Jalal, 33, of

Germantown, was arrested by state police at Claverack at 5:34 p.m. Friday, March 27, and was charged with criminal obstructio­n of breathing, a misdemeano­r. He was released with a ticket to appear in Clermont Town Court.

Saugerties

• Obstructio­n of breathing: Renee J. Hart, 46, of Andrew Street, Kingston, was arrested by Saugerties Police in the village of Saugerties on Friday, March 27.

She was charged with criminal obstructio­n of breathing, attempted assault and harassment, all misdemeano­rs, in connection with an incident that occurred at 4:53 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2020, amid a dispute at a residence on Old Stage Road in Saugerties. Police said Hart allegedly threw the victim to the ground, punched her in the face and placed her hands around her neck, which impeded the victim’s ability to breathe. After her arrest, Hart was released with tickets to appear in Saugerties Town Court

Wallkill

• Falsifying business

records: Michael Silvestri, 31, of Sussex, N.J., was arrested by state police at Middletown at 8:30 p.m. Friday, March 27, and was charged with falsifying business records, a felony, and petit larceny, a misdemeano­r. He was released with tickets to appear in Wallkill Town Court.
