The following items are based on information provided by officials in law enforcement and the criminal justice system.
City of Kingston
• DWI: Omar Vilchis Lopez, 41, of Kingston, was arrested on Broadway by state police at Ulster at 9:50 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, and was charged with drunken driving and with driving with a blood-alcohol content at or exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeanors. Lopez was released with tickets for Kingston City Court.
Coxsackie
• Drugs: Mark J. Deso, 27, of Coxsackie, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 8:56 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, on U.S. Route 9W in the town and was charged with possession of a controlled substance, use of drug paraphernalia (packaging) and aggravated unlicensed driving, all misdemeanors. Deso was released with tickets for Coxsackie Town Court.
Hurley
• Drugs: Nathaniel L. Denison, 23, of Bovina Center, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, on state Route
28, and was charged with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance. Denison was released with a ticket for Hurley Town Court.
Lloyd
• Drugs: Diego Olmedo Castellanos, 26, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested by state police at Highland at 8:04 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, on U.S. Route 9W and was charged with criminal possession of marijuana (more than 2 ounces), a misdemeanor. He was issued a court appearance ticket.
Shandaken
• Child pornography:
Christopher B. Piccoli, 34, of Silver Hollow Road, was arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s deputies in the early morning hours of Wednesday, June 10, and was charged with possession of an obscene sexual performance by a child and possession of marijuana (about 15 pounds), both felonies, and with unlawfully growing cannabis, a misdemeanor. Piccoli was released with tickets for Shandaken Town Court. Deputies said the investigation is continuing and further charges related to the computer evidence may be filed.
Town of Ulster
• Drugs: Stephen H. Greener, 31, of West Hurley, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, on Leggs Mill Road and was charged with two misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance. Greener was released with tickets for Ulster Town Court.
Wawarsing
• DWI: Marta S. Bilan, 73, of Ellenville, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 8:18 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, on Ulster Heights Road and was charged with misdemeanor drunken driving. Bilan was released with a ticket for Wawarsing Town Court.
