Tuesday, June 23, is Primary Day for those who didn’t vote early or by mail.

A Democratic primary will be held in the race for the president of the United States, as well as to select six delegates to the Democratic National Convention from New York’s 19th Congressio­nal District. There also will be a Republican primary in the 19th Congressio­nal District between Ola Hawatmeh and Kyle Van De Water. The winner will face incumbent U.S. Rep. Antonio Delgado, DRhinebeck, in the November election.

In Saugerties, there will be five primaries in the race for town justice between incumbent Claudia Andreassen and Stanley O’Dell Jr. The two are vying for the Democratic, Working Families, Independen­ce, Libertaria­n and Green Party lines in the November election.

There also will be primaries in the town of Saugerties to choose members of the Ulster County Democratic Committee in Districts 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 13, 14 and 16.

In Dutchess County, primaries will be held in the race for County Court judge between incumbent Peter Forman and Jessica Segal. The two are vying for the Green and Independen­ce lines.

There also is a primary to chose a member of the state SAM Committee from the 9th Judicial District. More informatio­n is available online at dutchessel­ections.com.

Health and safety measures will be in place at polling sites due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and voters are asked to wear masks.
