Area business people ‘On the Move’
Dr. Mark Josefski of Kingston was awarded the Family Medicine Educator of the Year 2020 recognition by The New York State Academy of Family Physicians, which represents over 7,000 physicians, residents and students in family medicine across the state.
NYSAFP established this award to recognize excellence in mentorship and education. It is given annually to a member who has made outstanding contributions to teaching family medicine in the undergraduate, graduate and continuing education spheres.
Josefski practices at the Institute for Family Health in Kingston. He was officially recognized for this honor during NYSAFP’s Congress of Delegates, which took place virtually on the morning of June 14, following a local award presentation on June 10 by his residents.

Stephanie Gartner has joined Arnoff Moving & Storage of Poughkeepsie in the new position of marketing manager.
Gartner was born and raised in the Hudson Valley and spent her college years at Southern Connecticut State University studying marketing and communications.
She previously worked with radio and in the digital marketing industry. She is a member of Hudson Valley Veterans Alliance, Hudson Valley Young Professionals and part of the Leadership Dutchess Class of 2020.

Kingston Water Department Superintendent Judith Hansen recently received the George Warren Fuller Award from the American Water Works Association.
The award, which is the association’s highest honor, is presented annually to a select member for distinguished service to the water supply field. The award recognizes the engineering skills, diplomatic talents and constructive leadership that characterized the life of George Warren Fuller, according to the city of Kingston.
