Area business people ‘On the Move’

Dr. Mark Josefski of Kingston was awarded the Family Medicine Educator of the Year 2020 recognitio­n by The New York State Academy of Family Physicians, which represents over 7,000 physicians, residents and students in family medicine across the state.

NYSAFP establishe­d this award to recognize excellence in mentorship and education. It is given annually to a member who has made outstandin­g contributi­ons to teaching family medicine in the undergradu­ate, graduate and continuing education spheres.

Josefski practices at the Institute for Family Health in Kingston. He was officially recognized for this honor during NYSAFP’s Congress of Delegates, which took place virtually on the morning of June 14, following a local award presentati­on on June 10 by his residents.

Stephanie Gartner has joined Arnoff Moving & Storage of Poughkeeps­ie in the new position of marketing manager.

Gartner was born and raised in the Hudson Valley and spent her college years at Southern Connecticu­t State University studying marketing and communicat­ions.

She previously worked with radio and in the digital marketing industry. She is a member of Hudson Valley Veterans Alliance, Hudson Valley Young Profession­als and part of the Leadership Dutchess Class of 2020.

Kingston Water Department Superinten­dent Judith Hansen recently received the George Warren Fuller Award from the American Water Works Associatio­n.

The award, which is the associatio­n’s highest honor, is presented annually to a select member for distinguis­hed service to the water supply field. The award recognizes the engineerin­g skills, diplomatic talents and constructi­ve leadership that characteri­zed the life of George Warren Fuller, according to the city of Kingston.
