City of Kingston

• Reckless driving: William T. Brybag, 35, of Kingston, was arrested at 8:30 p.m. Friday, July 17, on Elmendorf Street by state police at Ulster on a misdemeano­r charge of reckless driving. He was released on a ticket to appear in Kingston City Court.

• DWI: Juan Sanchez Cortes, 45, of Kingston, was arrested at 12:53 a.m. Sunday, July 19, on Henry Street by state police at Ulster on a misdemeano­r charge of drunken driving. He was released on a ticket to appear in Kingston City Court.

Esopus

• DWI: Jason T. Pease, 29, of Kingston, was arrested at 8:38 p.m. Saturday, July 18, on U.S. Route 9W by state police at Highland on a misdemeano­r charge of drunken driving. He was released on a ticket to appear in Esopus Town Court.

Plattekill

• Drugs: William G. Lowers, 41, of Plattekill, was arrested Thursday, July 16, on the felonies of sale of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance. Lowers’ arrest’ followed an investigat­ion by the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcemen­t Narcotics Team into heroin sales in the area of his residence in the Forest Park Trailer Park, Ulster County sheriff’s deputies said. Lowers was arraigned in Plattekill Town Court and sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of bail. Deputies said Lowers, at the time of his arrest, was awaiting sentencing in relation to a previous arrest by the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcemen­t Task Force. The previous arrest resulted in a conviction on drug possession and sales charges, deputies said. Deputies said Lowers was released from the Ulster County Jail in January 2020 in relation to those previous charges after bail reform legislatio­n took effect.

Red Hook

• DWI: Rolf Schuhknech­t, 63, of Elizaville, was arrested at 10:01 p.m. Saturday, July 18, on North Broadway by state police at Rhinebeck on a misdemeano­r charge of drunken driving. He was released on a ticket to appear in Red Hook Village Court.

Rosendale

• Drugs: Marcus L. Williams, 33, of Newburgh, was arrested Friday, July 17, on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance. Ulster County sheriff’s deputies said Williams was arrested by the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcemen­t Narcotics Team following a long-term investigat­ion into heroin and fentanyl sales in the town of Rosendale. Williams allegedly had a quantity of fentanyl and crack cocaine in his possession at the time of his arrest, which came following a law enforcemen­t operation in the town, deputies said. He was released on a ticket to appear in Rosendale Town Court.
