City of Kingston

• DWI: Arthur L. Rennie, 60, of Saugerties, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 6:36 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol content at or exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeano­rs. Rennie was released with tickets for Kingston City Court.

Cairo

• Endangerin­g: Matthew J. Williams, 28, of Cairo, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, and was charged with endangerin­g the welfare of a child, assault and criminal mischief (preventing an emergency call), all misdemeano­rs. Williams was released with tickets for Cairo Town Court.

• DWI: David M. Douglas, 57, of Athens, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 2:15 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol content at or exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeano­rs. Douglas was released with tickets for Cairo Town Court.

Denning

• Contempt: Tracy E. Thomas, 49, of Denning was arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s deputies at 2:45 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, on Red Hills Knolls Road, and was charged with criminal contempt of a court order of protection and criminal mischief, both misdemeano­rs, and with harassment, a violation. Thomas is alleged to have violated an order of protection issued by Denning Town Court and to have prevented the victim from calling 911 by disabling the only phone in the residence. She was released with tickets for Denning Town Court.

Esopus

• Drugs: David H. Smith,

35, of Kingston, was arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s deputies following a traffic stop on Lakeview Terrace, deputies said Thursday, Aug. 27. Smith is alleged to have possessed approximat­ely 250 bags of heroin after a search of the vehicle by police dog Jack. He was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and the traffic infraction of failing to signal a turn. He was released with a ticket for Esopus Town Court.

Hyde Park

• Sexual performanc­e by

a child: John V. Allers, 67, of Hyde Park, was arrested by state police at Rhinebeck at 2:40 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, and was charged with possession of a sexual performanc­e by a child, a felony. Allers was released with a ticket for Hyde Park Town Court.

Lloyd

• Drugs: Sequamn O. Storts, 26, of Hyde Park, was arrested by state police at Highland at 12:15 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, and was charged with misdemeano­r possession of a controlled substance. Storts was released with a ticket for Lloyd Town Court.
