Senior Golden Gathering will be drive-thru event

LAGRANGEVILLE, N.Y. » State Sen. Sue Serino, RHyde Park, and Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro are urging seniors to participate in the inaugural “Drive-Thru” Senior Golden Gathering on Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Arlington High School parking lot.

The high school is located at 1157 state Route 55

The event will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and be presented by the Serino and the Dutchess County Office for the Aging. The event will take place rain or shine. Reservations are required and can be made by calling the Golden Gathering hotline at (914) 962-2624 by Monday, Sept. 28.

Since 2015, Serino and the Dutchess County Office for the Aging have brought more than 100 area businesses and organizations together to provide area seniors with “one-stop” access to health screenings and local resources at the annual Senior Golden Gathering.

This year, to keep area seniors safe and healthy while ensuring they still have access to critically important resources, health information and flu shots, the Senior Golden Gathering has been modified to be a “drive-thru” event.
