• The Made in Kingston craft fair has moved online at www.MadeInKingstonNY.com and to the Kingston Farmers Market, behind the Ulster County Courthouse in Uptown Kingston, on

Dec. 19from 10a.m. to 2 p.m.

• The Catskill Christmas Express, will take place Dec. 19and 20at 55 Plaza Road, Kingston.

• Frozendale in Rosendale, which was set for Dec. 20, is canceled.

• The Holy Cross Santa Cruz Christmas Cookie, Craft, and Soup sale at the Pine Grove Avenue church in Kingston is canceled. Call (845) 3316796for more information.

• The People’s Place Community Café at 779 Broadway, Kingston, is open to all for breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 1p.m. curbside service only.

• The People’s Place

Food Pantry is open Monday to Friday from 10a.m. to 1p.m. at 17

St. James St., Kingston. Donations of fresh and shelf-stable foods are being accepted.

• The People’s Place’s thrift store, boutique and donation programs are now closed until further notice. If anyone needs assistance securing clothing and essential household items, please call People’s Place directly, at (845) 338-4030.

• Registration and toy distribution for Project Santa are underway and will conclude on Dec.

22. Registration takes place Monday to Friday from 9a.m. to 1p.m. at at People’s Place, 17St. James St. Gifts are for local Ulster County children between the ages of newborn to 14years old, with packages containing toys, board games, books, stocking stuffers and winter weather clothing. Donations of new, unwrapped toys are welcome.

• All city of Kingston government offices are closed to the public through Jan. 4, except by appointment.

• All Kingston Parks and Recreation public programming, except childcare at the Rondout and Hodge Centers, is suspended until Jan. 4.

• Ulster County Department of Motor Vehicles office will be open by appointment only until Jan. 1.

• The Rhinebeck Village Hall is closed to the public, except for court and police matters.

• The 2020Poughkeepsie Celebration of Lights Parade and Fireworks, which usually takes place in December, is canceled.

• The Town of Ulster Russell Brott Senior Center, 1Town Hall Drive, is open for normal weekly activities. The Senior

• The Arts Society of Kingston’s gallery has reopened. Hours are 1to 6 p.m. Tuesdays to Saturdays; and Sundays from 1 to 5p.m. Visit askforarts. org.

• American Legion Post 1298in Port Ewen has resumed its monthly meeting at the Esopus Town Hall Community Room on the first Monday of the month at 7 p.m. New members receive a complimentary one-year membership. All veterans are eligible.

• The Stone Ridge

Library, 3700Main St, Stone Ridge, has now reopened with regular hours. They are Monday, 1:30-7p.m.; Tuesday to Friday, 10a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; and Saturday 10 a.m. to 3p.m. The only changes are that people are now asked to wear masks, socially distance and limit their visits to 30 minutes. Curbside pickup of materials remains available if patrons prefer.

• The Highland Public Library is open with limited services. Hours are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 11a.m. to 2p.m.; Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2-6p.m.; and Saturdays, noon to 2p.m. Masks are required, and the number of people allowed in at one time will be limited. • The Rosendale Library has curbside pickup. Holds can be placed by calling (845) 658-9013 or going to rosendalelibrary.org. Print, fax and copy service also will be available at curbside by appointment.

• The Hurley and West Hurley libraries have reopened. Patrons may browse the shelves, use the computers, fax materials and reserve items in an online catalog. Furniture has been rearranged for social distancing, and the libraries are offering hand sanitizer and wipes for computers. Returned books will be quarantined before re-entering circulation. All patrons must wear masks and maintain social distance, and each building is limiting capacity. Both libraries still are offering curbside borrowing, and e-books and streaming remain available.

• The Friends of Historic Saugerties has canceled its monthly local history lectures at the Saugerties Public Library for the rest of 2020.

• The city of Kingston’s playgrounds have reopened with health and safety rules.

• The Dutchess County Department of Motor Vehicles, 22Market St., Poughkeepsie, has resumed in-person license, permits and non-driver ID transactions by appointment only. • Coach House Players in Kingston has canceled the remainder of its 2020 season. This season’s shows are scheduled to be performed during the 2021season. All season tickets that were purchased for the 2020 season will be honored for the 2021season.

• The town of Ulster’s offices and transfer station have reopened.

• County courts in Dutchess and Ulster have begun limited reopening. Court proceedings will continue to be done virtually.

• Kingston’s Emergency Food Hotline has added a website, www.kingstonemergencyfood.com. To provide meals and groceries to those in need across the Kingston City School District, the

Emergency Food hotline, (888) 316-0879, was created to streamline the intake of requests.

• Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County has moved its classes, meetings and workshops online. Go to ulster.cce. cornell.edu.

• The Hudson Valley LGBTQ Community Center in Kingston, has moved group meetings and workshops online. Go to lgbtqcenter.org for more information.

• The Kingston Common Council is holding its meetings remotely.

• Performing Arts of Woodstock has canceled its 2020season.

During the COVID-19 outbreak, New York state has temporarily expanded eligibility for the homedelivered meals program for seniors. • Unison’s theater and classroom space in New Paltz is closed.

• Catholic Charities Case Management Services, including the Housing Resource Center, remain available for assistance with emergency food and shelter, and other basic social safety net support. • The St. James Happy to Help Food Pantry said anyone needing emergency food can call (845) 331-3030to arrange for pickups.

• The New Paltz Retired Men’s Group has temporarily suspended its monthly meetings.

• The Town of Ulster Senior Club has canceled all of its upcoming scheduled meetings. The Town of Ulster Senior Center is closed.

• The state police have suspended employment fingerprinting, along with child safety seat checks, at their stations.

• The Boys & Girls Club of Ulster County is operating at limited capacity.
