Chris’s Bunch, Cook’s Five win SBA tournament

SAUGERTIES, N.Y. » Chris’s Bunch and Cook’s Five took the team titles in the Saugerties Bowling Association’s 9th annual tournament.

Chris’s Bunch won the handicap championship and the $1,000 first place prize with a combined 3676 pinfall. Chris Alberts tossed a 289-279268—836 series to lead the team. Rounding out the winning squad were John Ferraro, Brandon Brocco, Todd Hackett and Matt Kordich.

Cook’s Five took the scratch title and $200 with a 3052. Dave Scott led the team with a 700 triple anchored by a 258 middle game. Other team members were

Wendi Piper had the high women’s score with a 624 series, keyed by 222 and 217 games.
