Area business people ‘On the Move’
Breast surgeon Dr. Lisa D. Curcio has joined Nuvance Health to establish a breast surgery program at Northern Du tc hess Hospital in Rhinebeck. Curcio will also see patients for office visits at Nuvance Health’ s Kingston Multispecialty Center in Kingston.
Curcio decided to specialize in breast surgical oncology after she was diagnosed with breast cancer when she was 38 years old.
Curcio also has a special interest in survivorship and breast cancer prevention, including the role of genetic testing.
Before joining Nuvance Health, Curcio practiced at Memorial Care Medical Group and was medical director of surgical services at Breastlink in Laguna Hills, California. Curcio completed a surgical oncology fellowship at City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte, California; and a general surgery residency and an internship at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C. Curcio earned a medical degree from George Washington University Medical School, and a bachelor of science from the University of Scranton in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Curcio was a lieutenant colonel in the United States Air Force. She was stationed at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi, where she was the chief of surgical oncology at Keesler Medical Center.
Curcio enjoys traveling and spending time with her two children, ages 17 and 21.

Kenneth J. McCormick has joined Ulster Financial Services at Ulster Savings Bank, as a registered representative at the bank’s Poughkeepsie branch.
M cC ormick, aNewburgh resident, holds Series 6, 63, and 7 Securities Registrations. He also has a New York state life and health insurance license and is a New York state notary public. In his new role, he will advise and provide a number of financial services, including investments, retirement, estate and college planning needs for clients in Dutchess County. Before joining the bank, Kenneth was a financial services representative at Hudson Valley Credit Union for 15 years.
He is a literacy volunteer in the Hudson Valley as well as a volunteer at Umbrella, providing basic assistance to seniors in the community.
