ROBERT E. DAVIS

Robert E. Davis, age 69, a former resident of Kingston, N.Y., died peacefully surrounded by his family on Jan. 13, 2021 just eight days shy of his 70th birthday. Born in Kingston, N.Y. on Jan. 21, 1951 he was the son of the late Arthur Arlington and Margaret Jean (Larkin) Davis. Bob was raised in Kingston, N.Y. and was a graduate of Kingston High School, Class of 1969. Following high school, he went on to Hartwick College, graduating with a degree in Economics and then to Marist College for his master’s in business administration. He had worked many years in hospital administration, most recently for the State of New York. Always an athlete, Bob was a member of the Hartwick soccer team and continued his playing well beyond his school years. He coached youth soccer, both for his own children as well as countless more. He achieved the highest level of certication for a youth soccer coach. As a sports enthusiast, Bob and his son travelled to Brazil to take in the World Cup in 2014. He was also an avid reader and world traveler. He was the beloved husband of Deborah D. (DuBois), with whom he shared 45 wonderful years of marriage and travel. He was the loving father of Desiree Davis Trahon and her husband John G. Trahon, III of Melrose, Mass. and Robert Edward Davis of St. Petersburg, Fla. He was the adoring grandfather of John G. Trahon, IV, Edward Davis Trahon, and his future granddaughter (due in May 2021). He was the brother of Arthur Arlington Davis III of NY, Joan Davis Dresow and her husband Chuck of Calif., Diane Davis Lindsay and her husband Harry of Pa., Stephen Davis and his wife Margaret of Colo., and William Davis of N.Y. He was the son-in-law of the late Walter E. and Irene (England) DuBois. He was the brother-in-law of Janice Fay Kenney and her husband Paul of N.H., Richard DuBois of N.Y., Dennis DuBois of Fla., and the late David DuBois. He is also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews. A future memorial service will be planned when gatherings are no longer restricted and all who loved Bob can be together to celebrate his life.
