LORRAINE B. (DIAMOND) DART

PORT EWEN-Lorraine B. “Diamond” Dart, 90 of Hamilton Court, Port Ewen, passed away peacefully while in the comforting presence of her family at her home which she shared with her daughter Nancy and son-in-law, Dave, on Saturday, Jan. 16th, 2021. She was born in Kingston, N.Y. on Sept. 6th, 1930, a daughter of the late William Henry and Mildred (DeForest) Diamond. She was employed for over 52 years with the Kingston City School District as a hall matron, a job she truly loved and one that loved her. She is survived by her children, Betty, Nancy, Billy and Greg, and the Nonnie of ve generations of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was everyone’s Nonnie. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Harrison Morton Dart, Jr., one sister, Francis Rydjewski, and her longtime companion Jimmy Miggins, Sr. The family will receive friends during a walk-through visitation period at the Gilpatric-VanVliet Funeral Home, 339 Broadway, Ulster Park, on Tuesday, Jan. 19th, 2021 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Face coverings are required and social distancing will limit visitor capacity inside the funeral home. A graveside service followed by burial at Montrepose Cemetery will be private.
