• The Ulster County Department of Motor Vehicles office has reopened for in-person services. Visit clerk. ulsterny.gov and dmv. ny.gov.
• Happy to Help Food Pantry is located at
St. James United Methodist Church, 35 Pearl St., Kingston.
The food pantry is only open on Sundays, from 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Participants are asked to follow COVID procedures by wearing masks, bringing in their own bags, entering through the Fair Street entrance, and observe social distancing. The food pantry does NOT deliver food. (845) 331-3030.
• The Kingston Winter Farmers’ Market takes place every other Saturday through April. Next dates are Jan. 30, Feb. 13, 27, at the Senate Garage, on North Front Street. Online: kingstonfarmersmarket.com.
• The People’s Place Community Café at
779 Broadway, Kingston, is open to all for breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. curbside service only.
• The People’s Place Food Pantry is open Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 17 St. James St., Kingston. Donations of fresh and shelf-stable foods are being accepted.
• The Stone Ridge Library, 3700 Main
St. (U.S. Route 209), Stone Ridge, will return to regular hours while continuing curbside delivery to patrons starting Tuesday, Jan.
19. The library’s hours will be 1:30 to 7 p.m. Mondays, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. It will be closed Sundays. Patrons can request materials on the library’s website, stoneridgelibrary.org, and then call the circulation desk at (845) 687-7023 from the parking lot. Circulation staff will bring their materials to a bench at the library entrance.
• The People’s Place’s thrift store, boutique and donation programs are now closed until further notice. If anyone needs assistance securing clothing and essential household items, please call People’s Place directly, at (845) 338-4030.
• The Rhinebeck Village Hall is closed to the public, except for court and police matters.
• The Arts Society of Kingston’s gallery has reopened. Hours are 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays to Saturdays; and Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m. Visit askforarts.org.
• American Legion Post 1298 in Port Ewen has resumed its monthly meeting at the Esopus Town Hall Community Room on the first Monday of the month at 7 p.m. New members receive a complimentary oneyear membership. All veterans are eligible.

• The Stone Ridge Library, 3700 Main St, Stone Ridge, has now reopened with regular hours. They are Monday, 1:30-7 p.m.; Tuesday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; and Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The only changes are that people are now asked to wear masks, socially distance and limit their visits to 30 minutes. Curbside pickup of materials remains available if patrons prefer.
• The Highland Public Library is open with limited services. Hours are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2-6 p.m.; and Saturdays, noon to 2 p.m. Masks are required, and the number of people allowed in at one time will be limited. • The Rosendale Library has curbside pickup. Holds can be placed by calling (845) 658-9013 or going to rosendalelibrary.org. Print, fax and copy service also will be available at curbside by appointment.
• The Hurley and West Hurley libraries have reopened. Patrons may browse the shelves, use the computers, fax materials and reserve items in an online catalog. Furniture has been rearranged for social distancing, and the libraries are offering hand sanitizer and wipes for computers. Returned books will be quarantined before re-entering circulation. All patrons must wear masks and maintain social distance, and each building is limiting capacity. Both libraries still are offering curbside borrowing, and e-books and streaming remain available.

• Gyms and fitness centers can operate at 33% capacity, and with other restrictions.

• The Food Pantry at Trinity Lutheran Church, 72 Spring St., Kingston is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The pantry is closed on Mondays and Fridays. Wear a mask when picking up a bag of groceries at the door.
• The Friends of Historic Saugerties has canceled its monthly local history lectures at the Saugerties Public Library for the rest of 2020.
• The city of Kingston’s playgrounds have reopened with health and safety rules.

• The city of Poughkeepsie has reopened its parks and skate park.
• The town of Ulster’s offices and transfer station have reopened.

• County courts in Dutchess and Ulster have begun limited reopening. Court proceedings will continue to be done virtually.
• Kingston’s Emergency Food Hotline has added a website, www. kingstonemergencyfood.com. To provide meals and groceries to those in need across the Kingston City School District, the Emergency Food hotline, (888) 3160879, was created to streamline the intake of requests.

• Performing Arts of Woodstock has canceled its 2020 season.

• The Dutchess County Office for the Aging prepares hot meals that are delivered to homebound seniors Monday to Friday. During the COVID-19 outbreak, New York state has temporarily expanded eligibility for the homedelivered meals program for seniors. • Unison’s theater and classroom space in New Paltz is closed.
• Catholic Charities Case Management Services, including the Housing Resource Center, remain available for assistance with emergency food and shelter, and other basic social safety net support. • The state police have suspended employment fingerprinting, along with child safety seat checks, at their stations.
• The Boys & Girls Club of Ulster County is operating at limited capacity.
• The Bardavon in Poughkeepsie and the Ulster Performing Arts Center in Kingston are closed.
