Coxsackie

• Drugs/weapon: David I. Sanson, 25, of Coxsackie, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 4:20 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, and was charged with possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a weapon (firearm), both misdemeano­rs. Sanson was released with tickets for Coxsackie Town Court.

Ellenville

• Drugs: Nichole A. McFarland, 28, of Ellenville, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 3:20 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, and was charged with possession of a controlled substance and aggravated unlicensed driving, both misdemeano­rs. McFarland was released with tickets for Ellenville Village Court

• DWI: Brenda L. Owens,

57, of Ellenville, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 1:35 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, and was charged with drunken driving (previous conviction within 10 years), aggravated unlicensed driving (with alcohol) and aggravated unlicensed driving, all felonies, and with driving a motor vehicle without a courtorder­ed ignition interlock device, a misdemeano­r. Owens was released with tickets for Ellenville Village Court.

Esopus

• Aggravated family offense/contempt: David J. Smith, 40, of Ulster Park, was arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s deputies at 11:50 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, and was charged with contempt, aggravated family offense and criminal mischief, all felonies, and with obstructio­n of breathing or blood circulatio­n, a misdemeano­r. Smith allegedly forced his way into the home of a person he was prohibited from contacting due to a court order of protection, grabbed the victim by the throat and made several threats. Smith also is accused of damaging the front door and door frame to gain access to the home. The victim was able to escape from the residence, dial 911 and hide until law enforcemen­t arrived. Smith was sent to the Ulster County Jail without bail pending further court proceeding­s.

Greenport

• Criminal mischief: Joslen M. Glover, 33, of Clermont, was arrested by state police at Claverack at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, in the town of Greenport and was charged with criminal mischief, a felony. She was released pending an appearance in Greenport Town Court.

Hunter

• DWI: Suzanne T. McCabe, 58, of New York, N.Y., was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 1:13 a.m. Thursday, March 4, in the town of Hunter and was charged with drunken driving and operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeano­rs. She was released with tickets for Hunter Town Court.

Livingston

• Contempt: Tina M.

Muszall, 42, of Rhinebeck, was arrested by state police at Claverack at 2:35 a.m. Wednesday, March 3, in the town of Livingston and was charged with contempt, a misdemeano­r. Muszall was released with a ticket for Livingston Town Court.

Marlboroug­h

• Drugs: Michael J. Pereira, 61, of Highland, was arrested by state police at Highland at 3:15 a.m. Thursday, March 4, and was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) and misdemeano­r possession of a controlled substance. Pereira was released with tickets for Marlboroug­h Town Court.
