Abandoning Cuomo after the good he did

-

Dear Editor,

Oh, how quickly we forget. The governor was there, ultra-there, when we needed him. He helped us through the worst period of our lives. Yes, he made mistakes, but he also made us feel safe when we were anything but safe. We looked to him for support and he was there for us. He braved the most evil person in our country. I didn’t see anyone else stand up to Trump and for our great state.

The man acts bossy. He makes his underlings uncomfortable. He acts just like the powerful man with enormous responsibilities that he is. He can be a bully. He is sometimes unpleasant. So let’s just dispose of him. We don’t need to hear what he has to say. Guilty before charged. Who cares if the punishment doesn’t fit the “crime”?

How dare them.

After all, we don’t need Cuomo as much anymore. Trump is gone, COVID-19 is getting under control, Biden is for the people, so let’s just throw the bully out. Annihilate him.

And the Democrats, predictable as ever, are tripping over themselves to destroy one of their own. Not one standing behind him. They never learn. Not a spine among them. Not a “Let’s wait and see all the facts.” No, it’s “Let’s go for the jugular.” Righteously oblivious to how pathetically misguided they are. And the Republicans are just eating it up.

And the irony, as far as I can see, is that there is no one who can fill the governor’s gigantic shoes, in spite of all those delusional wannabes who think they can.

Let them throw the first stone.
