Area business people ‘On the Move’
Rob Brown has joined Hudson Valley Credit Union as vice president of branch administration, with responsibility for the credit union’s 20 branches.
Brown brings with him a wealth of experience overseeing large branch networks for Key Bank and M&T, as well as eight years as a business banking regional manager for Westchester and Rockland Counties with both Citizens and Chase.
Brown holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and economics from Manhattan College – Riverdale and is a graduate of Columbia University’s Executive Leadership Development Program. He’s been an active volunteer with both Habitat for Humanity and Junior Achievement.

Monica LaClair will join Pine Plains School District as the assistant superintendent for business.
LaClair will officially join the district on July 1. She will be replacing Michael Goldbeck, who is retiring.
LaClair comes to the district with a background in school finance, having most recently served in the same role in the Onteora Central School District.
She is a graduate of the University of Rochester, with a bachelor of science degree in economics, and from SUNY Albany, with a master of science degree in accounting.

Crystal Oakes, director of Plant and Tax for Central Hudson, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Benedictine Health Foundation.
Oakes is a current board member of the Rondout Valley Scholarship Fund and past board member of the Southlands Foundation.
Oakes earned a bachelor’s of science degree in accounting from Binghamton University. She lives in Kingston with her husband, Randy, and daughters, Katie and Kayla.
