• The Historical Society of Woodstock will have its Holiday Market Fair at its building at 20 Comeau Drive on Dec. 11 and 12, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The fair will feature original holiday cards, local history books, vintage gifts, hand-knit items, note cards, and local art, crafts and products, including maple syrup, jam and baked treats. Products from local craftspeople will include hand-woven items, jewelry, ornaments, honeybased products, incense, cards, bluestone hearts and more.
• American Legion Post 187, 94 Second St., Athens, will have a craft fair on Saturday, Dec. 11, from noon to 4:30 p.m. Set-up will start at 10:30 a.m. Vendors are welcome; applications are available at the post or on its Facebook page.
• The Ruby Fire Department will host a “Pancakes with Santa” breakfast from 8a.m. to 11 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 12, at the firehouse, 1214 Main St., Ruby. All are welcome. Donations will be accepted.
• The Catskill Mountain Foundation will present the ballet “The Nutcracker” at the Orpheum Film and Performing

• The Rhinecliff Volunteer Fire Company and Rhinebeck Grange 896 will host soup sales at the firehouse, 17 Shatzell Ave. Orders are $10 for soup or chili, sold by the quart. Orders are takeout only. • “Handle With Care,” a romantic holiday comedy, will be performed through Dec. 19 at Shadowland Stages, 157 Canal St., Ellenville. Attendees under the age of 12 and those who are unvaccinated due to a disability will be required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the performance start time, or a negative COVID-19antigen test taken within six hours of the performance start time. • The People’s Place

• The People’s Place Community Café is open and free to all Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1p.m., serving continental breakfast and lunch.
• The People’s Place Bounty Table, located just outside the doors, offers free produce, breads, baked goods, dairy items and proteins. The items change daily and are first-come, first serve during business hours, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
