Town of Ulster
• DWI, drugs: Jason Popowich, 45, of Yonkers, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 6:02p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, and was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent and criminal possession of a controlled substance, all misdemeanors, following a traffic stop. He was issued appearance tickets for Ulster Town Court.
• DWI, drugs: Matthew Derrico, 23, of Catskill, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 3:04a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), a felony; driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeanors, following a traffic stop. He was issued appearance tickets for Ulster Town Court.
New Paltz
• DWI, DWAI, obstruction: Nicholas I. Gross, 20, of New Paltz, was arrested by state police at Highland at 1:27 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, and was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while ability appeared by drugs and obstruction of governmental administration, all misdemeanors, following a traffic stop by state police at Highland. He was issued appearance tickets for New Paltz Town Court.
• DWI: Maximo R. Canadilla, 23, of New Paltz, was arrested by state police at Highland at 4:22 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, and was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent following a traffic stop. He was released on bail bond pending an appearance in New Paltz Town Court. • DWI: Erick Bolanos Ramierez, 36, of Connelly, was arrested by state police at Highland at 6:33 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, and was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent following a traffic stop. He was issued tickets for New Paltz Town Court.
Rhinebeck
• DWI: Yorleny C. Suarez Weigel, 47, of Rhinebeck, was arrested by state police at Rhinebeck at 8:51 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, in the village of Rhinebeck and was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood-alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeanors.She was issued an appearance ticket for Rhinebeck Village Court.
Shawangunk
• DWI: Jason M. Berg, 28, of Cuddebackville, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 2:55 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, and was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood-alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeanors. He was released to a third party pending an appearance in Shawangunk Town Court.
Wawarsing
• DWI: Pavel P. Rad, 55, of Napanoch, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, and was charged driving while intoxicated with a prior conviction within 10 years and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent, both felonies. He was released to a third party pending an appearance in Wawarsing Town Court.
• Contempt: Donald H. Chase, 37, of Napanoch, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 7:50 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, and was charged with criminal contempt (disturbing court), a misdemeanor. Further information was unavailable.
