Snow emergency for city, with parking restrictions, continues Monday, Jan. 17

-

KINGSTON, N.Y. » A snow emergency for the city of Kingston, with on-street parking restrictions, is continuing today.

Motorists are asked to move their vehicles to the odd-numbered side of the street by 7 a.m. to allow city snowplows to clear the streets.

Unless you are parked on a Snow Emergency Route, vehicles may be parked on the odd side of the street, but the best place for vehicles is off street, city officials said. There will be no parking on Snow Emergency Routes. For a list of Snow Emergency Route streets, please visit https:// kingston-ny.gov/snowemergency.

Vehicles not in compliance with the parking rules will be ticketed and towed.

Trash and recycling will not be collected Monday; parking lots will be open free of charge and parking meter fees will be suspended. City lots available for parking include three lots on North Front Street, the Forsyth Park lot near the tennis courts, and the Dietz Stadium lot uptown. In midtown, available lots include lots at the Sea Deli on Broadway, Hodge Center and AME Zion Church on Franklin Street, public lots on Cornell Street and Prince Street, the lot next to Arace Electronics at 357 Broadway and Broadway Commons at 615 Broadway. Downtown: public lots off Dock Street, 117-165 Abeel St., the Trolley Museum off East Strand; and the Block Park and Kingston Point Beach lots.
