• Topic of Cancer, Family of Woodstock’s support group for cancer survivors, patients and caretakers, will meet Wednesday, Jan. 26, at 7p.m. at Woodstock Reformed Church, 16 Tinker St. This month’s meeting will feature Bob Hausman, a psychologi­st and founder of Woodstock Therapy Center. • Gardiner Library, 133Farmer’s Turnpike, Gardiner will have a Battle of the Books Team informatio­nal meeting on Sunday, Feb. 13, at 2:30 p.m. The meeting is for youngsters ages 11to 18along with their parents and caregivers. Come learn about this friendly competitio­n “Jeopardy-style” battle of the books between other Ramapo Catskill Library system members for the title of Battle of the Books Champs. Prizes and community service hours for all team members. Team members will read some or all of the 8 books chosen. Registrati­on is required online at www.gardinerli­brary.org.

• The St. Remy Fire District Board of Fire Commission­ers will have its monthly meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 26, at 6:30 p.m. at the St. Remy Firehouse, Station 1, Main Street, Remy.
