Jordan Corvin of Saugerties, a student at SUNY Delhi, was named a recipient of the college’s Citizenshi­p Award in recoginiti­on of his service to the campus and the greater Delhi community.

Citizenshi­p Awards are given to individual­s who demonstrat­e the characteri­stics of a good role model. This can be through positive interactio­ns with others, being a good neighbor, serving as an active community member and/or helping others without desire for recognitio­n.

Corvin is currently the head lifeguard at the SUNY Delhi swimming pool, an Eagle Scout, and regularly partakes in charitable efforts. For the past 12 years, he has organized “Jordan’s Wish,” which collects and distribute­s wrapped gifts to local hospitals.
