Four area residents — Natalie J. Cook of Kingston, Veronica C. Hill of New Paltz, and Abbie L. Cummings and Amber M. Diehl, both of Staatsburg — graduated from Scranton University in Pennsylvan­ia, with undergradu­ate degrees.

Cook received a bachelor of arts degree in social media strategies. Hill received a bachelor of science degree in forensic chemistry. Cummings and Diehl both received bachelor of science degrees in nursing.

Kingston residents Ashley Waschitz and Taylor Waschitz graduated from The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, with bachelor of science degrees.

Ashley Waschitz majored in commerce and business administra­tion. Taylor Waschitz majored in human environmen­tal sciences.

Hailey Newell of New Paltz graduated from Alvernia University in Reading, Pa., with a bachelor of science degree.

Newell majored in psychology.

Christian Burda of New Paltz graduated from Moravian University in Bethlehem, Pa., with a bachelor of sciene degree

Emile G. Denno of New Paltz graduated from Clark University in Worcester, Mass., on May 22, with a bachelor of arts degree.

Denno majored in studio art.

Hannah Malafy of Red Hook was named to the dean’s honor list at Cedarville University in Ohio for the spring semester.

Students earn dean’s honor list status by achieving a grade point average of 3.75 or higher.

Malafy is majoring in nursing.

Eleven area residents — Abby Mitchell and Rebecca Spencer, both of Kingston; Anna Detweiler of Lake Katrine, Mackenzie Fischer of Cottekill, Eryl Bevan, Hailey Gallinari and Timothy Petty, all of Highland; Katie Galt of Gardiner, Quinn Graziano of Rhinebeck, and Samala Rubin and Maia Weiss, both of Red Hook — were named to the president’s list at SUNY Potsdam for the spring semester.

Students earn president’s list status by achieving a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
