Four area residents — Natalie J. Cook of Kingston, Veronica C. Hill of New Paltz, and Abbie L. Cummings and Amber M. Diehl, both of Staatsburg — graduated from Scranton University in Pennsylvania, with undergraduate degrees.

Cook received a bachelor of arts degree in social media strategies. Hill received a bachelor of science degree in forensic chemistry. Cummings and Diehl both received bachelor of science degrees in nursing.

Kingston residents Ashley Waschitz and Taylor Waschitz graduated from The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, with bachelor of science degrees.

Ashley Waschitz majored in commerce and business administration. Taylor Waschitz majored in human environmental sciences.

Hailey Newell of New Paltz graduated from Alvernia University in Reading, Pa., with a bachelor of science degree.

Newell majored in psychology.

Christian Burda of New Paltz graduated from Moravian University in Bethlehem, Pa., with a bachelor of sciene degree

Emile G. Denno of New Paltz graduated from Clark University in Worcester, Mass., on May 22, with a bachelor of arts degree.

Denno majored in studio art.

Hannah Malafy of Red Hook was named to the dean’s honor list at Cedarville University in Ohio for the spring semester.

Students earn dean’s honor list status by achieving a grade point average of 3.75 or higher.

Malafy is majoring in nursing.

Eleven area residents — Abby Mitchell and Rebecca Spencer, both of Kingston; Anna Detweiler of Lake Katrine, Mackenzie Fischer of Cottekill, Eryl Bevan, Hailey Gallinari and Timothy Petty, all of Highland; Katie Galt of Gardiner, Quinn Graziano of Rhinebeck, and Samala Rubin and Maia Weiss, both of Red Hook — were named to the president’s list at SUNY Potsdam for the spring semester.

Students earn president’s list status by achieving a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Mitchell, Spencer, Detweiler, Gallinari and Rubin are all majoring in music education. Bevan is majoring in biology. Fischer and Galt are both majoring in childhood/ early childhood education. Petty is majoring in politics. Graziano is majoring in geology. Weiss is majoring in music performance.

NaDavia Walters of Catskill was named to the dean’s list at SUNY Potsdam for the spring semester.

Students earn dean’s list status by achieving a grade point average from 3.25 to 3.49.

Walters is majoring in psychology.

Emily Wagner of Port Ewen was named to the graduate student president’s list at Siena College in Loudonville for the spring semester.

Thirteen area residents — Quillan Riley and Haley DeCicco, both of Kingston; Mckenna Alberts, Michael Averill, Josie Clawson and Mackenzie Perpetua, all of Saugerties; Dylan Wiswall of Shokan, Maya Greco of Marlboro, Samantha Riley of Red Hook, Kiley Lenahan of Tivoli, Evan Brophy of Germantown, and Joshua Deyo and William Fitzmaurice, both of Catskill — were named to the president’s list at Siena College for the spring semester.

Two area residents — Leo Kuyl of New Paltz and Sophie Langa of Clinton Corners were named to the dean’s list at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pa., for the spring semester.

Kuyl is a member of the Class of 2023 and is majoring in environmental geosciences. Langa is a member of the Class of 2022 and is majoring in psychology.
