Cairo Drugs:
William M. Farrell, 29, of Saugerties, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 2:14a.m. Friday, June 24, and charged with misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance. Farrell was released with a ticket for Cairo Town Court.
Saugerties
DWI: Kenneth R. Beams, 60, of Saugerties, was arrested by Saugerties police at 9:24 p.m. Thursday, June 23, on state Route 212and charged with the misdemeanors of driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated (with a bloodalcohol content over 0.18%), and with failure to maintain lanes, an infraction. Beams was arrested after officers came upon a vehicle that had run off the roadway and become stuck on top of rebar used to support framing for a newly poured sidewalk, according to authorities, adding that Beams was allegedly attempting to leave the scene. He submitted to a breath test that indicated a 0.24% blood-alcohol content, three times the legal limit, police said. He was released with tickets for Saugerties Town Court. DWI: Jeffrey Schneider,
53, of Wethersfield, Conn., was arrested by Saugerties police at 9:47p.m. Tuesday, June 22, and charged with the misdemeanors of driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated with a bloodalcohol content over 0.18%, and with driving while consuming an alcoholic beverage and open alcoholic beverage in vehicle, both violations. The arrest followed a reported dispute at a McDonald’s drive-through window at 350state Route 212 over a hamburger, police said. Officers interviewed Schneider, who was allegedly intoxicated and confrontational toward officers, according to authorities. Schneider submitted to a breath test, resulting in a blood-alcohol content reading of 0.26%, more than three times the legal limit, police said. Schneider was released with tickets for Saugerties Town Court.
Town of Ulster
DWAI-drugs: William Richter, 43, of Kingston, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 9:55a.m. Thursday, June 23, and charged with the felony of driving while ability impaired by drugs (previous conviction within 10 years) and with aggravated unlicensed driving, a misdemeanor. Richter was released with tickets for Ulster Town Court.
