The following items are based on information provided by officials in law enforcement and the criminal justice system.

Gardiner

• Contempt: Mayson A. Forstell, 19, of Gardiner, was arrested by state police at Highland at 2:05 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, in the town of Gardiner, and was charged with criminal contempt and criminal mischief with intent to damage property, both misdemeanors. Forstell was held at the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.

Saugerties

• Drugs: Venus T. Hall,

56, of Saugerties, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 11:55 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, in the town of Saugerties, and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), a felony. Further information was not immediately available.

Shawangunk

• Unlawful surveillance: A 14-year-old teen was arrested by state police at Highland at 1:57 p.m. Sunday, June 26, in the town of Shawangunk, and was charged with unlawful surveillance and disseminating a surveillance image, both felonies. The teenager was released with tickets for Shawangunk Town Court.

Town of Ulster

• DWI: Kris E. Cox, 46, of Ruby, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 2:20 a.m. Thursday, June 30, in the town of Ulster, and was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving with a bloodalcohol level at or exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeanors. Cox was released to a third party pending a town court appearance.

Town of Wawarsing

• DWI: Tyler J. Davenport, 26, of Napanoch, was arrested by the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office at 2:25 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, and was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, assault and criminal mischief, all misdemeanors, following reports of a physical domestic dispute. Police said Davenport struck the victim with a phone cord several times and burned the victim with a lit cigarette before fleeing the residence. Authorities said police K-9 Kwin later tracked Davenport down in nearby wooded area. Davenport was arraigned in Rochester Town Court and was released with tickets for Wawarsing Town Court.
