Francis J. “Frank” Molinaro, 91, of Oakwood Drive, Town of Ulster died Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Health Alliance Hospital: Broadway Campus. Born September 27, 1931 in the Bronx, Frank graduated from Cardinal Hayes High School in the Bronx and attended Iona College. Following a vocational calling, Frank entered the Irish Christian Brothers Novitiate in West Park, NY. He left the seminary after suffering an injury, and then began his career at IBM. Frank worked in several capacities at IBM over thirty-nine years, and most enjoyed his work as a Personnel Recruiter. After retiring from IBM, Frank worked as a travel agent and tour director for Tiffany Travel, and for the next twenty-five years, he and his wife traveled the globe. He was an active member of the IBM Quarter Century Club and the Kingston Lions Club. Frank was a charter member of St. Philomena Church in Lake Katrine, the present-day St. Catherine Labouré Church. He served the church devoutly as a lector, a teacher in religious education, and an active participan­t in the Men’s Associatio­n. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Frank was an avid New York Yankees and Giants fan. He attended as many sporting events for his children and grandchild­ren as possible. Surviving are his children, Michael Molinaro and his wife Regina of Harvard, MA; Maureen Hackett and her husband Todd of Hurley, NY; Edward Molinaro and his wife Deborah of the Town of Ulster, NY; Vincent Molinaro and his wife Amy of Green Pond, NJ; Robert Molinaro and his wife, Lynnette of Rochester, NH; and Joseph Molinaro and his wife Victoria of Raleigh, NC. Nineteen grandchild­ren, ten great-grandchild­ren, and several nieces and nephews also survive. Frank was a loving husband, father, grandfathe­r, and friend to many. Frank was predecease­d by his parents, Carmine and Mary, and his beloved wife of sixty-three years, Frances “Dolly” Molinaro. Funeral arrangemen­ts are under the guidance of the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, Inc., 27 Smith Avenue, Kingston, www.jvleahyfh.com. The Molinaro family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, October 23rd from 2-6 PM. A funeral procession will form Monday, 9 AM at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM at St. Catherine Labouré Church in Lake Katrine. Burial will follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery.
