The following items are based on information provided by officials in law enforcement and the criminal justice system.
City of Kingston
• DWI: John R. Santiago,
41, Austin W. Brewer, 26, Christian A. Santiago, 48, and Michael S. Specker,
36, all of Kingston, were arrested by state police at Ulster at 2:45a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22. Christian A. Santiago was charged with tampering with physical evidence, (conceal/destroy), a felony, and with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanors. Spiecker was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count each of criminal impersonation and aggravated unlicensed operation, all misdemeanors. John R. Santiago and Brewer were each charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Both Santiagos, Brewer and Spiecker were all released with tickets for Kingston City Court.
Catskill
• DWI: Shannon L. Gribben, 22, of Watervliet, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 3:22 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, in the town of
Catskill, and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony. Gribben was also charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, manufacturing drug-related paraphernalia and criminal use of drug paraphernalia (packing), all misdemeanors. Gribben was released with tickets for Catskill Town Court.
Esopus
• DWI: Santiago Acevedo, 38, of Newburgh, was arrested by state police at Highland at 4:14 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, in the town of Esopus, and was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood alcohol level at or exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeanors. Acevedo was released with tickets for Esopus Town Court.
Town of Rochester
• Drugs: Seaver P. Higgins, 28, of Mechanicville, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 11:13 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, in the town of Rochester, and was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood alcohol level at or exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeanors. Higgins was released with tickets for Rochester Town Court.
