SUNY Ulster hosts financial aid, arts program sessions

STONE RIDGE, N.Y. >> SUNY Ulster will host informatio­nal sessions in November where prospectiv­e students can learn about the arts programs at the college as well as financial aid.

“Discover the Arts” takes place on Wednesday, Nov. 9, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.. The event offers prospectiv­e students the opportunit­y to participat­e in an optional portfolio review of their work and see a SUNY Ulster Student Works Showcase.

The itinerary also includes a presentati­on about the Fine Arts Program, an applicatio­n workshop and tours of the Gallery, Print Shop, Mac Lab and Studio and inner Space.

Then on Nov. 12, from 9 a.m. to noon, SUNY Ulster’s Financial Aid Day will offer high school seniors planning on attending any SUNY school hands-on assistance with completing their free applicatio­n for federal student aid, or FAFSA.

SUNY Ulsters admissions staff will also be on hand to speak with those interested in learning more about the college and its programs.

Campus tours will also be offered.

Those looking to complete the FAFSA should bring federal student aid ID and passwords for parents and students (register for an FSA ID at studentaid.gov); 2021 tax documents including federal and state tax returns, W-2 statements, and other income statements; 2021 untaxed income informatio­n, such as child support paid or received; asset informatio­n; driver’s license (student); social security numbers for student and parent; and alien registrati­on card for permanent residents.
