Mayr rolls 300 game in Wednesday Merchants League

SAUGERTIES, N.Y. >> Jared Mayr rolled a 300 game on the way to a blistering 754 series in the most recent action at the Wednesday Merchants League at the Bowlers Club.

Brian Smith (259-749) and Damion Ferraro (269749) also posted 700 series in the league.

Other top scores were posted by Kirk Peters (247-690), Ron Contrady (258-682), Alan Blanchard (265-672), Chris Snyder (264-671), Rob Elmendorf (247-665), J.T. Elmendorf (269-656), Dave Skinner Sr. (654), Chris Raftis (258650), Paul Schneider (254647), Jim Martin (642) and Jim Wuttke (637).

Other three-game sets were rolled by Jeff Riozzi (259-636), Dan Palm (634), Bruce Utter (632), Fred Harris (244-631), Kelly VanDeMark (267-628), Gary Buckman (245-627), Chris Winnie(244-626), Adam Disclafani (245-625), Bobby Rosborough (619), John Cook Jr. (611), Erik Snyder (610), James Swanson (606), John Kelly (604), Pete VanEtten (603), Dave Fuller (238-603) and Nick Russell (255-602).

In the Tuesday Rock & Roll Mixed League, Damion Ferraro narrowly missed a perfect game when he rolled a 299 game on the way to a league-high 760 series. Dave Skinner Jr. was next on the men’s side with a 701 series that included a 268 game.

Other top men’s series were rolled by Korey Harrison (639), Mike Coughlin (236-639), Dave Skinner Sr. (627), John Cook Jr. (622) and James Swanson (602).

On the women’s side, Sammi Roebuck led the way (213-595). Other top women’s scores were posted by Terri Donahue (213-574), Kelly Johnson (204-527), Jenny Mund (498) and Patty Rennie (490).

Damion Ferraro topped all the competitor­s in the Dave Corneau Constructi­on Men’s League with a 716 series that included a 268 single. Scott Haslam rolled a 707 series that included a 269 game.

Vince Ranalli was next with (247-695), followed by Chris Gage (266-672), Brian Brock (246-670), Jeff Riozzi (257-666), Dave Scott (260649), Dave Corneau (248649), Steve Spinella (636), Chris Teitter (636), Gregg Jones (620), Theo Anthony (614), Scott Genthner (238610) and Garry Schoepplin (602). Other top games were rolled by John Gougoutris (244), George Da Silva (243), Bryan Burt (238), Matt Smith (237) and Steve Below (236).

In the Sawyer Motors Classic League, Damion Ferraro had the high score (268-708). Other 700 series were rolled by Ronald K. Myers (254-705), Brandon Brocco (253-702) and Justin Min (245-702). They were followed by Chris Alberts (245-679), Pete Van Etten (239-679), Jeff Slavin (237672), Dave Lowe (669), Chris Raftis (257-665), Dave Handlowich (241-663), Brian Smith (663), Matt Kordich (248-645), Stu Kennedy (246-644), Todd Hackett (267-635), Joe Swart (267629), Jerry Heiser (628), Kirk Peters (626), Scott Haslam (613) and Frank Heiser (241-607).

In the Columbia Mixed League, Kirk Peters (246672) topped the men while Hannah Webber (225539) led all women bowlers. Other top men’s scores were rolled by Brian Holzhauer (241-652), Ron Pilz (600), Chris Jackson (254590) and Kevin Silvestris (589).

On the women’s side, other top scores were posted by Wendy Silvestris (208-522), Ashley Beaver (516), Wendi Piper (497) and Kelly Johnson (472).

In the Friday Night Mixed League, Matt Golub (577) led the men while Erica Snyder (508) had the best score among the women. Steve Siegel (525), Christophe­r Mastel (521), Rich Mayr (515) and Alan Shelton (509) had the other top men’s scores.

Other high women’s scores were rolled by Paige Handlowich (486), Barbara Palumbo (452), Michele Seigel (414) and Jackie Handlowich (414).

In the Wednesday Morning Early Birds League, Trish McElduff led all the scorers in the women’s league with a 472 series. Other top scorers were Suzanne Harris (453), Amy King (445), Deborah Doersch (444) and Ruth Ann Buone (444).
