Sean Michael McCormick of West Grove

Sean Michael McCormick, 45, of West Grove, formerly of Lansdowne, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014.

Born in Darby, Pa., he was the son of Martin and Nancy McCormick.

The center of Sean’s life was his wife and children. All that he did inhis life he did for his family.

Owner of McCormick Karate Academy in Oxford, for the past 20 years, Sean was a mentor, friend and father figure to many of his students; teaching not only the art of karate but Life’s Lessons.

In addition to his parents, Sean is survived by his wife, Sheila T. McCormick (nee Murray); his children, Sean Jr., Alison, Olivia and Gavin; his sisters, Linda Tracy, Kathy Wrably, Rosalie Du Boe, Cindy Pagel and Maureen Falwell; and his brothers, Marty and Danny.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing from 6 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 2, at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike (corner of Hilltop Road), West Chester, 610431-9000, and from10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 3, at Sacred Heart Church, 203 Church Road, Oxford, Pa., followed by his Funeral Mass at 11 a.m.

Interment will be in Oxford Cemetery.
