Richard C. ‘Dick’ McNaughton of West Chester
1931-2015
Richard C. “Dick” McNaughton, 83, of West Chester passed away April 4, 2015.
He was born in Indiana, on Dec. 8, 1931 to the late Claude W. and Alice Clarke McNaughton.
After attending Bradley University, he served in the US Air Force as a combat pilot and later completed his education at Penn State after which he began his successful career in the oil marketing business.
He was a previous owner of McNaughton Oil, Inc. in Indiana, and Duel Temp Fuels in Allentown, and until recently, he was the marketing manager for Pipeline Petroleum, Inc. in Macungie.
He was a member of the Indiana Franklin Masonic Lodge 313, the Lehigh Consistory and a longtime member of the West Chester Golf and Country Club, where he truly loved and played his game of golf and spending time with his treasured friends.
Dick is survived by his wife of 32 years, Kay Evan McNaughton; and children, B. Lynn (Mike) Gibbs of Adel, Ga., Richard J. (Jennifer) McNaughton of Littleton, Colo., James C McNaughton of Lutherville, Md.; a step-daughter, Susan Z. Corbitt of Lutherville, Md. and a step-son, David E. Schwencke of Pittsburgh; and his grandchildren, Michael and Scott McNaughton, Shelley Adams and great granddaughters Kylee and Kailyn Hughes.
At Dick’s request, a private graveside service will be held in Indiana.
