Police searching for alleged shooting suspect
This is the second shooting that occurred last week with one person injured during each incident
COATESVILLE >> Police are seeking the public’s help finding a suspect from a second shooting last week who allegedly shot a man after they fought over a woman, police announced on Monday.
Coatesville police said Dashawn London, 26, of Coatesville, is wanted following the alleged aggravated assault incident with a firearm.
Police responded at 7 p.m. last Thursday to a shooting in the 900 block of Olive Street. Two men reportedly had argued throughout the day over a female and had agreed to meet at Walgreens to fight, according to the police report. Police identified the two men as London and Nafeese Atkins.
Police said London reportedly drove to Atkins’ house instead where he found Atkins outside of his front door. Police said Atkins went inside his residence and quickly shut the front door as London allegedly
“opened fire.” Despite being inside, police said Atkins was shot once through the door.
Police said Atkins, 21, of Coatesville, was transported to Paoli Hospital and treated for the nonlife threatening gunshot
wound. The status of his condition was not available on Monday.
Police officers said they have an arrest warrant for London and they are actively looking for him.
Police are also searching for two men wanted for attempted murder for an overnight shooting that occurred two days before this shooting incident, and also involved an argument
over a woman, according to police.
Police said Alfred Hogue, 30, and Kervin Crawford, 26, both of Coatesville, are wanted for the alleged attempted homicide on June 14 that injured Jay Jackson, 19, of Coatesville.
