Juanita B. Lanahan (nee Copeland) of Downingtown

Juanita B. Lanahan, (nee Copeland), 92, of Downingtown PA passed away on June 18, 2016.

Born in Lockwood, WV, Juanita was the beloved daughter of the late Hubert and Bertha (Fitzwater) Copeland.

Juanita was a longtime member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Downingtown, PA.

She was very active in the local VFW and Ladies’ Auxiliary and enjoyed attending all of their sponsored dances. She was also very involved with NARFE (National Association of Retired Federal Employees), attending all of their meetings.

She loved music, cardinals and koala bears, but most of all, she was lovingly devoted to her family.

Juanita was the beloved wife of the late Frank L. Lanahan; loving mother of Patricia Connor, James Lanahan and of the late Raymond Lanahan; dear sister of Louise Oyler, Bernice Morgan, and of the late Alma Heater, Eslee Provens, Delbert, Dennis and Donald Copeland, Eva Smith and Edith Young; caring mother-in-law of Patricia Lanahan; grandmother of Michael, Edward and Richard Connor, and Nicholas Lanahan; and greatgrandmother of Jamison Connor. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing 7:00-9:00 PM Thursday and 9:30-10:30 AM Friday at The Donohue Funeral Home, 43 W. Lancaster Ave, Downingtown, PA., 610-269-3080, followed by her Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 338 Manor Ave, Downingtown, PA 19335. Interment Philadelphia Memorial Park.
