Hugo Ficca Sr., 87, of Lionville, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at Neighborho­od Hospice. He was the loving husband of the late Philomena (nee Timperio) Ficca, with whom he shared 58 years of marriage at the time of her passing.

Born in Italy, he was the son of the late Mariano and Felicia (nee Rossi) Ficca.

Hugo was the owner of Ficca’s Barbershop in Lionville where he worked for 48 years until his retirement in 2014.

He was a member of St. Elizabeth parish as well the Lionville Lions and the Silver Sneakers exercise group. He was an avid gardener who enjoyed the results that his green thumb provided. Hugo was a huge fan of both the Phillies and the Eagles and many a day would be spent at his barber shop with his regular clients, discussing the latest game and enjoying the usual banter that could, and sometimes did, last for hours.

He is survived by his loving children; Hugo (Janice) Ficca Jr., Felicia (Michael) Mascarenas and Michael (Catherine) Ficca; his adoring grandchild­ren; Angela, Vincent, Amanda, Erin, Maria, Dominic and Ryan.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, August 1, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth, 100 St. Elizabeth Dr., Chester Springs, PA 19425, where family and friends are invited to call from 8:45 – 9:45 a.m.. There will be an evening visitation Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 5 – 7 p.m. at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtow­n, PA 19335. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Downingtow­n.
