Virginia Guiney Haslett Ford of West Chester

Virginia Guiney Haslett Ford, 92, of West Chester, passed away at home on Friday, September 9th, 2016, surrounded by her family.

She was the widow of the late John D.S. Haslett and Daniel I. Ford, DO.

Born in Parkesburg, she was the daughter of the late Mabel S. (Grigg) and Martin V. Guiney.

She graduated from Coatesville Area High School and the Quincy School of Nursing, Mass. She was employed by VA Hospital in Coatesville for 20 years.

Virginia is survived by her four children, John M. Haslett, husband of P. Beth (Rubincam), of Mooresville, N.C., Rebecca R. Haslett Angell, wife of William, of Fairbanks, AK, Mark D. Haslett, husband of Linda (Snavely), of Steelville, PA and Mary Catharine Haslett of Redondo Beach, CA; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her five siblings, Thomas M. Guiney, R. Paul Guiney, Ruth E. Guiney Hayes, William B. Guiney and Richard A. Guiney.

Family and close friends are invited to celebrate Ginny’s life at a memorial to be held at 3740 Limestone Road, Parkesburg on Saturday, September 24th at 3 PM.
