Mo­tor­cy­clist in­volved in Route 202 crash dies

WEST­TOWN >> The mo­tor­cy­clist in­jured in the two-ve­hi­cle crash on Route 202 died, ac­cord­ing to po­lice.

Dorian A. Du­mas Jr., 31, Penn Val­ley, died at Paoli Hos­pi­tal Wed­nes­day after a col­li­sion on Route 202 in the 1000 block of Wilm­ing­ton Pike.

Du­mas was driv­ing a 2016 Kawasaki Ninja mo­tor­cy­cle when he was re­port­edly hit by a 2013 Ford Fu­sion. Driv­ers of both ve­hi­cles were taken to Paoli Hos­pi­tal.

At the time, po­lice re­ported the driver of the Ford Fu­sion, Jalmeel Con­way, 25, of Tren­ton, New Jersey, was in sta­ble con­di­tion whereas Du­mas was in crit­i­cal con­di­tion.

The crash oc­curred shortly after 9 a.m. Wed­nes­day, where first re­spon­ders worked for sev­eral hours to clear de­bris and re­open all lanes of traf­fic.

Both a north­bound and south­bound lane were closed while first re­spon­ders worked. Po­lice said Con­way has been re­leased from the hos­pi­tal and is co­op­er­at­ing with po­lice while the in­ves­ti­ga­tion con­tin­ues.

Po­lice ask any­one who may have wit­nessed the in­ci­dent to call the West­town-East Goshen Re­gional Po­lice De­part­ment at 610-692-5100.

West­town-East Goshen po­lice, along with Medic 91, Good Fel­low­ship Am­bu­lance, West Ch­ester Fire De­part­ment, West Ch­ester and West Goshen fire po­lice re­sponded to the ac­ci­dent. All lanes were re­ported open by 1 p.m. Wed­nes­day.
