33 seniors recognized as 2017 National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists

-

Thirty-three Conestoga seniors have been recognized for their achievements as National Merit Semifinalists. This recognition is based on their performance on the 2015 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).

Nationwide there are approximately 16,000 semifinalists in the annual 62nd Scholarship Program. They represent less than 1 percent of United States high school seniors, includes the highest-scoring entrants in each state. The number of Semifinalists in a state is proportional to the state’s percentage of the national total of graduating seniors.

These students will go on to compete for some 7,500 scholarships through the National Merit Corporation or its sponsoring organizations.
